My Pattern

Hey, i am catching up a bit, but there are some pattern samples.  Was hoping to try more, but this is what I got.

Funny observation though, thinking of patterns, this was one of the first things that came to mind, which I thought was clever and unique.  But becoming more aware of patterns, I have noticed there are a lot of extremely similar patterns using elephants out there.

I think we must subconsciously take in imagery, and not necessarily know where it came from, which shows how important it is to concept the work we do.  The deeper we dig, the more we will get to true creativity, and not just unrecognized catalogued observed visuals.

First shot by a man without a gun!!

Okay!  Had a bunch of fun with this guy.  Not happy with his legs (and his boots in particular), but they were essentially a "throw-on."  I'll probably go in and try to beef this guy up some before I try to put him into a portfolio.  based on a shape from the Cup-O-Doodle blog.

My first post from the grave . . .

In case you couldn't tell, the Zombie's on the right.  ;-)  This is an old sketch and was done as a challenge from Ryan Woodward who thought that I didn't know how to do something morbid or scary.  I whipped this out for him during that same class period and he liked it.

Cheers!
This one was just for fun.  Sam Nielson said that a cool theme to experiment with was open v. closed, and this undead was what came into my head and out my pencil.  Fun stuff.
